There is no single best job board in Germany. The right one depends on what you are after: sheer volume, English-speaking roles, tech jobs with visa sponsorship, or local German-language positions. Most expats end up using two or three in parallel.
We grouped the main platforms into three types so you can jump straight to the ones that fit your search: general boards (Indeed, StepStone), professional networks (LinkedIn, XING), and tech and startup boards (German Tech Jobs, Relocate.me).
How We Ranked Them
We weighted how expat-friendly each platform is: English-language roles, whether visa sponsorship is filterable, salary transparency, and how many international employers actually use it. LinkedIn wins for most expats because it concentrates English-speaking and international roles and lets recruiters come to you, but a tech candidate is often better served by Relocate.me or German Tech Jobs.
Tip: Set up job alerts on two platforms from different groups (for example LinkedIn plus one tech board) rather than refreshing one all day. Coverage barely overlaps between groups.
